Masuk girls volleyballs’ season has just ended, and while the JV team lost their last game yesterday at Stratford High 2-1, last night they took the time to reflect upon a great season.
“No matter how much we fight or argue or even are happy with each other, we always come back,” said sophomore Julianna Gale, an outside on the team.
“It’s always point by point, but when the final point ends, we understand each other more by the season, and it really just shows our dedication to the team and our ‘final goodbye’ isn’t really final,” said Taylor Bittner, who is a setter.
The girls also realized that the hard moments signified something much greater.
“The amount of times I’ve cried over volleyball…you really do realize how much little time you do have left when you’re playing that last set,” said sophomore Sofia Infante, also a setter on the team.
The team aims to reconnect soon into the off season to keep their spark alive.
Sophia Giordano, middle hitter on the team, said. “We’re all just really going to miss our team. So, yeah, great season.”
