For students, earning extra credit often means completing additional paperwork or projects. However, on the spookiest week of the year, that notion takes a turn.
Sophomores Claire Harbron and Sienna Arraya came into their math class with one goal in mind: to earn extra points on their geometry quiz. The means they took to earn those points, however, had nothing to do with extra work.
“Our teacher, Ms. Raab, told us that if we wore our costumes, we would get two extra credit points on our quiz,” said Harbron.
With Harbron as a ladybug and Arraya as Paddington, the two not only earned their promised extra credit points, but brought Halloween spirit into their classroom.
“We wanted the extra credit, so that’s why we wore them!” said Arraya.
When it comes to earning extra points on an assessment, students will take any opportunity. For Arraya and Harbron, that meant spreading the Halloween spirit on quiz day!
