It’s that time of year again at Masuk Highschool!! This morning as students and staff were walking into the building, it was clear that spirit week had commenced.

Monday morning everybody kicked it off strong with Bikers vs Surfers and I think it’s safe to say that bikers were winning today. We saw outfits as simple as a luau to ones as extravagant as full leather outfits. If you were lucky enough, you might’ve even seen the stuffed shark a junior brought in to match their surfer outfit.
Bikers were definitely the more popular choice with so many people donning leather jackets, red bandanas, and the classic red and black colors. Students were not the only ones dressed in biker fashion with teachers like Mrs. Leisten and Mrs. Pelisson dressed in true biker fashion. Other teachers like Mr. McKee and Mrs. Nyquist chose to take the surfer route with Hawaiian shirts and luau necklaces. Many students also had their own versions of surfer fashion with tropical colors, bathing suits over clothes, and a variety of Hawaiian shirts.

Now, while many people did dress up, there was also a large portion who chose not too. However it is just the first day of the week with many more themes to come. Tomorrow freshman dress in neon, sophomores in pj’s, juniors in superheroes vs villains, seniors in their traditional camo theme, and staff in rock vs jock where we will hopefully see more people showing their spirit and dressing up.
