Sophomore Julia Golec faces her fears and completes a chin-up. “I’m really scared,” said Golec. The pull-up bar was propped next to the popcorn tent during Thursday’s football game, where two military recruiters ran the stand. “…what if I mess up in front of everyone,” Golec added. The pressure settled, and a crowd had begun to form around Golec. After a brief moment of consideration, Golec finally came to the decision to step in front of the crowd and do it. Golec managed a single chin-up, earning her not only a sticker from the recruiters, but the cheerful support of everyone watching! “Okay, it wasn’t as bad as I thought,” said Golec.
