Last Friday, Masuk High School hosted a blackout-themed football game against Joel Barlow. The Panthers lost the game, 36–35, after a close contest that came down to the final minutes. Despite strong efforts on both sides, Masuk was unable to hold its lead. Many students left the game early due to intermittent rain, reducing the usual crowd energy in the stands. “Even though we lost, it was still fun to see everyone come together for Friday night football,” said senior Charlotte Pinto. The blackout theme, combined with the band and community presence, made the evening memorable, even though the outcome was disappointing. The Panthers will look to regroup in upcoming games, hoping to build on the support of fans and the excitement of theme nights like this one.
