The future of Masuk basketball is looking bright, with the boys freshman team capturing another convincing home win. The Panthers faced off against Immaculate High School, giving Masuk their tenth victory, improving to a 10-3 record on the year. Fast starts have been no stranger to the boys all year, and this game was no different, with Masuk taking a 15-7 lead after the end of the first quarter. This quick lead was able to propel the boys to stay in control for the rest of the game, and eventually end the game winning 31-43. Key contributions came from guards, Alex Simoulidis with 10 points, and Stephen Sentementes with 11 points. More good news was the returning addition of starting forward Tobey Bajda, who was out injured for 3 weeks due to a back injury. Bajda was able to make an impactful recovery, being able to add 8 points to the win. The Panthers have 3 more games remaining, as the boys look to close off their freshman season strong.
