This past Tuesday, students in Masuk’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club attended the State Leadership Conference in Hartford, where they had the opportunity to showcase their skills in a variety of business-related events. With at least 1,500 students in attendance, competitors faced a highly competitive pool of students.
Senior Karolina Jaworska is the current treasurer of FBLA. She placed fifth in business communication and earned the Who’s Who award, a premier honor that recognizes high school members who have made outstanding contributions to the association.
“I’m one of the only seniors who has been in FBLA since freshman year, so to be recognized for my dedication, I’m very grateful,” said Jaworska. “Also, to place fifth in a category with over 40 competitors made the experience even more rewarding.”
Masuk’s FBLA had huge success this year, with over 10 awards given to Masuk students. With these achievements, some students have qualified to compete at the national level in Texas this summer. Congratulations to all of the competitors.
