Masuk Girls Basketball is headed up to play Ledyard for their first state tournament game tomorrow, March 7. Although the team has a lower record than their opponent, Coach Young remains confident in the Panthers’ ability to compete and come away with the win. Throughout the week, the team has been focused on improving their defense, sharpening their execution, and focusing on finishing plays to make the most of scoring opportunities. Senior Emma Trosser said, “We have been prepping all week and focusing on all of the small details. In practice we have implemented some new sets on both offense and defense.” With the postseason atmosphere adding extra intensity, the Panthers are hoping their preparation and teamwork will translate into a strong performance as they begin their state tournament run.
