On September 17th, the Masuk Girls Volleyball team played Notre Dame Fairfield at home. The Panthers won the first two sets by a comfortable margin. Notre Dame won the third set, extending the match. Masuk then won the fourth set to secure the victory by winning three sets. Abby Urkawich made the final spike of the night, earning the winning point for the Panthers. Junior player Addison Scott said, “We knew it was going to be a good hard-fought game. Some of us stepped up and we were able to come back in the fourth set and seal the win.” The match was played with a large crowd in attendance. Both teams showed competitive play throughout the game, with several rallies extending past the usual three or four hits. The win improved Masuk’s record this season and marked an important home victory.
